About Us

Rimmers Music is a musical instrument retailer and specialist which delivers a diverse range of high quality, low priced musical instruments, accessories, lessons, repairs and advice to a huge and varied customer base throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Rimmers Music was established in 1978 and is now owned and run by former musician and entrepreneur, Gary Tate; who, at his musical peak, performed on stage with acts such as David Copperfield, Ken Dodd and Lenny Henry. With his excellent knowledge of the music industry, we have been improving and expanding ever since.

Regarded as one of most respected musical instrument retailers in the UK, we have now opened our seventh retail outlet in the North West. All of our stores employ expert staff who deliver consistent, exceptional and friendly service. The service we provide does not just stop at simply selling instruments, at Rimmers Music we also provide nationally recognised, grade level music lessons for various instruments; 24-hour, professionally soundproofed rehearsal spaces; expert, tailored advice and repairs, restoration and instrument set-up.

Yamaha Homeworld

Over 30 years experience has earned us a position as one of the few Yamaha Homeworld Stores in the UK.

Homeworld is a Yamaha initiative designed to create a new level of quality shopping experience for the home keyboard customer within a music store.

For many, visiting a music store can be an intimidating experience - a store for specialist people 'in the know'. Homeworld, however, is designed to offer a more relaxed atmosphere where instruments are displayed spaciously for easy viewing. In addition, our staff are comprehensively trained in all aspects of Yamaha keyboard products, from their demonstration to, most importantly, providing customers with outstanding levels of service and care.

Value for Money

We aim to give the best price possible – With our daily Price Watch, we make sure we are never knowingly under-cut by our competitors. If you see the same product elsewhere for less, do not hesitate in contacting us!

We offer lengthy guarantees on all our products – Two years as standard on most products and Extended Guarantees (5 Years) are available on all products for a reasonable cost.

We can provide a repair service for products outside of guarantee or not supplied by Rimmers Music Group - Details available on request.
