Beautifully voiced, professional guitar made from all-solid, seasoned tonewood.
All solid wood really does make a difference and Alvarez has made sure their Masterworks guitars get the best out of their solid wood construction. They are very open sounding, powerful instruments with rounded notes and plenty of bass.
The Masterworks MF75SC Folk/OM Acoustic-Electric is made from a hand-selected, AA grade red cedar top, and solid, cured rosewood backs and sides. Each component is made of natural material, including real bone saddles and nuts, maple and rosewood bindings and purflings, ebony bridge pins and green abalone inlays.
The MF75SC Folk/OM, like all Masterworks guitars, features a one-piece mahogany neck with a 50/50 finish, Grover tuners and 12th Fret abalone inlay.
The Masterworks bracing system is forward shifted with scalloped, hand-finished X braces that allow these guitars to project incredibly well. There’s lots of sustain and response and no matter if strummed or picked, the separation and balance across the strings is easily audible.
Masterworks is one of the most impressive and affordable all-solid guitar lines available, so now as many players as possible can enjoy the benefits of an all-solid wood construction.
The MF75CE is a classic OM size guitar with a combination of solid cedar and rosewood. It has an absolutely gorgeous tone, lots of warmth and response and great for fingerpicking. But don't get it twisted, this smaller body still has all the power you’ll ever need and suits being strummed as well as plucked. The “S†stands for satin finish. This is a very natural looking piece and with an open pore finish to the back and sides. A beautiful, understated guitar with a really warm sound. This is the CE model with cutaway and the wonderful SYS650 blend pick up system and EQ.
