An innovative instrument melding traditional style with modern sound and features, the American Elite Stratocaster is a progressive guitar for 21st-century musicians. Designed for players who push the envelope every night, this guitar is a true performer that leaves others in the dust with eye-catching style, exceptional feel and versatile sound from the very first moment you plug it in and play
Featured on all American Elite instruments, the new 4th generation Noiseless pickups are only available in this series, and represent a quantum leap in pickup design. Combining vintage-style sound with effectively noise-free performance, these are the pinnacle of Fender’s noiseless pickup designs, offering pristine cleans and fat, overdriven tones that scream with pure rock ‘n’ roll power. Designed for fast playing and effortless position changes, the compound profile neck is ideal for all playing styles. A modern “C”-shape at the nut, the profile morphs along the length of the neck to a modern “D”-shaped profile at the updated neck heel, providing plenty of comfortable support for fret hand antics. Locking, all short-post tuning machines provide increased break angle at the nut for buzz-free performance. The smooth two-point modern tremolo adds emotive touches to your performance without sacrificing your tuning.

Fender is renowned for head-turning style, and this guitar is no different—from newly refined, sleek and deeper contours that hug the player’s body to the black chrome headstock logo and large pearloid fret markers this instrument will dazzle the audience with elegant style. The American Elite Stratocaster is a bold new guitar for the brave new guitarist who is setting out to cross uncharted musical terrain. Includes a redesigned Elite Molded Case with TSA locks to provide increased protection for your cherished instrument.

Grant Owen

I've had this guitar (Elite HSS Strat with RW fretboard) for 4 months now and I am massively impressed with it! It is dripping with features, my personal favourites being the locking tuners and S1 switching system. The S1 gives a huge palette of sounds from classic strat through to modern. Beware classic strat lovers though, this guitar is definitely a modern beast, especially the feel (the new neck profile is amazing). Value for money is good especially compared to other leading brands top of the range guitars. As far as sound goes, this guitar is actually more mellow than expected from a strat but all the pickups sound excellent (and the single coils are noiseless which is awesome). I have a Marshall Haze 40 and to be honest it didn't sound quite right so I've married it with a Marshall DSL40C (which is treble-ier than the Haze) and it sounds perfect!!

The only small let down was the build quality. Although generally very good build quality, there were a few blemishes in the finish which ordinarily I would have excused but this is a top of the range guitar. The blemishes were; dry fretboard (this was once better once I'd rubbed it down with lemon oil), the hole on the back cover plate had unfinished edges and the rolled edges of the fretboard were badly finished at the nut.

Overall, I completely recommend this guitar to anyone, especially to players out there who want a quality one-trick pony! This beast is so versatile it can cope with anything from Country through Blues and Rock to Metal!
