The newly designed BB basses feature an Alder/Maple/Alder multi laminated body (BB700 series and up). The maple centre increases the body density meaning that the midrange is accentuated allowing it to cut through in a band mix. Also the BB range features custom wound pickups which Yamaha have specifically designed and picked for each bass in the series.
