In addition to our recently expanded range of Yamaha premium pianos we have available at our Bolton branch, which includes the only permanent stocking of the Yamaha CFX Concert Grand outside of London, we also have our exquisite range of Steinway & Sons pianos, making our Bolton store the premier piano showroom in the North of England.
With only a select handful of dealers being part of this exclusive club, we also have the privilege of offering the full range of Boston and Essex pianos by Steinway, ensuring that we can offer pianos from Steinway & Sons at a price to suit more people. In the following video, Will from our Bolton store gives us an overview of the luxury models from Steinway & Sons which we currently stock, with a demonstration of each.
This full concert grand is one Steinway’s most sought after pianos, providing pianists with complete satisfaction in the highest level of musical expression. At 8′ 11 3/4″ (274 cm) the Steinway & Sons Model D is overwhelmingly the premier choice for many of the worlds greatest musicians, this piano is often said to have the perfect touch response. Crafted over a 12 month period in their Hamburg factory after 2 years of drying and seasoning the wood, these pianos are meticulously hand crafted by the world’s leading piano builders to match up to the history and standing within the music world of Steinway & Sons.
At 5′ 10 3/4″ (180 cm)this grand piano provides an incredibly warm and rich sound, much more so than one might expect from a grand piano that is under 6 feet in length. The Steinway & Sons Model O is one of the most iconic piano designs that has changed little since the early 1900’s, making it ideal for the practising professional musician who demands the highest technical requirements.
Known as the “Medium” Grand Piano, the Steinway & Sons Model M has a dynamic and tonal range that is anything but medium. Created with a close-grained Sitka spruce soundboard that is both tapered and double crowned, this piano’s soundboard echoes the construction of violin soundboards, creating a uniquely rich and long lasting tonal response. At 5′ 7″ (170 cm) the Model M can be found in many homes as well as conservatories and other music institutions around the world.
Rounding off our quartet is our premium upright acoustic piano from Steinway. At 52″ (132cm) in height, the Steinway & Sons Model K features a soundboard that is larger than many grand pianos, creating a huge and more resonant sound that is exceptionally unexpected from an upright piano. Combined with a balanced touch, this piano provides an uncompromising level of enjoyment for any pianist where the required space for a grand piano is not possible.
All of our Steinway & Sons pianos are investments that will last a lifetime, which is why we include a 10 year guarantee with all models. In addition, when purchasing a Boston piano you have the option within 10 years from the date of purchase to receive 100% of the original price to trade towards a new Steinway & Sons piano.
