Replaces CDPS350
This piano comes with Casio's Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard II system. This is a graded keyboard, meaning the action goes from heavier to lighter as you move up the keyboard - just as with a real piano. The keys have been given a fine-grained finish, reducing slippage and increasing comfort, as well as improving the realism of the piano. This highly accurate portrayal of a real piano's keyboard allows you to play it with all of the expression and feeling of a concert grand.
The CDP S360 comes brimming with sounds, featuring 700 unique and expressive voices for you to explore. These can be easily navigated and selected using the piano's LCD screen, then manipulated and combined using the on-board effects and layering tools. For extra flair, you can use the pitch bend wheel to add inflections to your playing!
Casio's unique "high-density mounting technology" allows them to squeeze a high-quality hammer action system into a really compact digital piano. By miniaturising components and developing a unique space-saving internal structure, they have managed to make the CDP S360 only 232mm deep. This ultra-sleek piano is perfect for squeezing into smaller spaces, although its simple, elegant aesthetic will look right at home anywhere.
This narrow footprint also lends itself to portability - making the CDP S360 a great option for travelling or gigging musicians. Small and lightweight, it's perfect for the road life! The piano can be run on battery power as well as mains, with a battery life of up to 4 hours - so not only can you take this piano anywhere, you can play it anywhere too!
The CDP S360 is MIDI enabled and has a USB-B connection, allowing you to plug it into a computer and use it as a MIDI controller. This means you can use this piano to control virtual instruments, scoring software, and DAWs such as Ableton or Garage Band. This hugely opens up the possibilities available to you, and turns the CDP S360 into a powerful recording and music production tool.
You can also plug this piano into your smartphone or tablet, and make use of Casio's Chordana Play for Piano app. Through your smart device, you'll be able to adjust settings on the CDP S360 such as tone, touch response, and the metronome. Chordana Play also features a PDF score viewer, and numerous piano lessons and games, providing a fun way to learn new songs and techniques.
Alternatively, the CDP S360 is compatible with the Casio Bluetooth Dongle (not included), which turns your digital piano into a Bluetooth device. This allows you to transmit MIDI data, letting you use apps like Chordana Play wirelessly. It also allows the piano to receive audio by Bluetooth, so you can connect your smart device and use your piano like a wireless speaker!
