Delivery Information

We offer  FREE delivery on orders over £25.00 to UK Mainland. We also offer a 1 hour Delivery Window for UK deliveries sent using Interlink. Where available Interlink will email you with a delivery day and a one hour estimated delivery window. If that isn’t  convenient, you can arrange for an alternate delivery date direct with Interlink. Items larger than 1 metre will be despatched using TNT on a next working day delivery service.  Tracking information will be supplied but TNT does not currently offer a delivery time window.  If no-one is available, a card will be left so you can arrange a re-delivery. Please check your order before signing. Normally, delivery will only be to your card's billing address. Delivery to a different address is only available by request, and is subject to certain conditions. Any redirection of an order after it's been despatched may incur an extra charge. Please note that most of the above services operate Monday to Friday only. For more information please contact us.

Standard delivery charges displayed apply to most U.K. Mainland addresses. Deliveries to Northern Ireland, UK non-mainland and Highland addresses may incur a surcharge. We will contact you should this be the case following the receipt of your order. Shipment to other EU countries is possible, but extra delivery charges will apply. Please contact us for details. 

Delivery Methods

We use several delivery methods, depending on the item being sent, your location, and the product you have purchased. For UK Mainland, most items will be despatched by Interlink courier. The standard option is normally a next working day service, although this cannot be guaranteed.  Smaller items are usually sent using Royal Mail.  Very large or heavy items such as acoustic and digital pianos may be delivered by a specialist delivery company, or by our own delivery team (also available for piano removals). Please note that some large items may take slightly longer to deliver. Orders normally need to be signed for.

If you order before 4pm, Monday to Friday, we can despatch in stock orders the same day for next working day delivery. Orders placed after 4pm on Friday and on Saturday or Sunday will be despatched on Monday. Estimated delivery times for out of stock items are intended as a guide only and we will provide information based on the information given to us by our suppliers. Please note that your order would not usually be despatched until all items are in stock but please contact us if you would like to discuss.

Deliver and Build

For some of the bigger products we sell we can with an extra charge offer you a deliver and build service. This service means we will deliver your product, build it for you and place it where you want it in your home. This will be a ground floor service unless agreed in advance. The delivery and build service is not usually a next day service, but will be confirmed with you by telephone with a day and an estimated time. This service is ideal for large acoustic and digital pianos.

Returns

14 Day No Fuss Returns

The customer has a 14 day cooling off period from the day after the day on which they received the goods. During this period the customer has the right to cancel an order for items purchased from our website in writing. Orders can be cancelled by emailing us at returns@rimmersmusic.co.uk.   If you wish to cancel your order you may wish to fill in our Rimmers Music Cancellation Form. A copy can be downloaded below so you can then return/cancel your order with the  minimum of fuss if you have changed your mind. A copy of the cancellation form is also supplied with your order email.

Please note cancelled items must be returned to us within 14 days after giving notice of cancellation.

If you cancel this contract you will need to cover the cost of delivery or make arrangements to return the items to us.  We recommend that you use the original packaging where possible  and use a tracked method.  If you do not have the original packaging all items must be sent using appropriate packing material to prevent the items getting damaged or scratched.  Rimmers Music is unable to accept responsibility for any item that is damaged due to insufficient packaging.  Please note your refund may be refused if the item is not packaged correctly.

With regard to software and digital item sales the right to cancel and return is lost if the digital content or software is used by the consumer by downloading/installing or registering the data.

Some items are only eligible for cancellation if they are returned to us unused and sealed in the original packaging, and in the case of software, unregistered. These items include:

  • Software
  • CDs & DVDs
  • Headphones and In-ear Monitors
  • Earplugs and Ear Protection
  • Mouthpieces, Reeds etc… for Woodwind and Brass instruments
  • Mouth / Lip Care Products

We are unable to accept returns of any custom items. Exceptions may only be possible with our prior agreement and may be subject to a cancellation fee.

We may cancel any order placed by a customer prior to the goods being received by the customer if we are no longer able to supply the item, there has been a significant price change of the item, or if we suspect the transaction is fraudulent. If an order is cancelled by us, any monies paid by the customer will be refunded in full.

14 Day Return Policy

This policy gives the customer the right to cancel an order for an item purchased from our website by emailing us at returns@rimmersmusic.co.uk.

Delivery/collection charges will need to be met by the customer, however we do provide a collection service for which the cost is dependent on the item size and weight.
