Epiphone DR100 Acoustic Ebony Guitar

The Epiphone DR-100 Acoustic, Ebony offers a classic yet sonically-versatile mixture of tonewoods, an eye-catching appearance, and a commanding dreadnought body blended with affordability and reliability. With a select spruce top and mahogany back and sides, the Epiphone DR-100 delivers a rich, full-bodied sound with mid-range emphasis and plenty of resonance. In addition, the mixture of tonewoods and its bold and commanding dreadnought body provides the player with a clear, powerful sound that is perfectly-suited to numerous genres including rock, pop, country, folk, bluegrass, and many more. Lastly, featuring an edgy ebony finish, classic black pickguard with Epiphone's signature E, pearloid dot inlays and premium machineheads, the DR-100 continues to be Epiphone's best selling acoustic guitar.

Select Spruce Top & Mahogany Body

The Epiphone DR-100 features a select spruce top that delivers a versatile, clear, and powerful sound that can handle anything from lighter fingerpicking styles to heavier, meatier strumming patterns and chords with ease. In addition, the select spruce top is paired with mahogany back and sides which deliver a punchy mid-range with plenty of warmth and resonance. Together this mixture of tonewoods provides the player with what is well-known as the classic acoustic sound, renowned for its versatility and ability to play beautifully within many different genres and playing styles.

Dreadnought Body

The DR-100 Acoustic features a dreadnought body, offering great volume and projection whilst maintaining overall tonal balance, perfect for a wide range of genres and a loud acoustic performance. The tone produced is able to accommodate numerous genres and playing styles with ease including bluegrass, rock, pop, indie, folk, roots music, and country, as well as flatpicking, western, and slide techniques. Furthermore, the big, bold dreadnought body offers a comfortable playing experience, although it is better-suited to the player more comfortable with bigger-bodied guitars, and those with a longer reach.

Okoume Neck & Fingerboard

Constructed from okoume, the DR-100's neck neck delivers similar tonal properties to maple, delivering a clear, bright tonality with good sustain and plenty of bite. For enhanced playability the neck also features a slim taper, making it easy to move up and down the neck and prevents a cramping left hand. In addition, the okoume neck is topped with rosewood fingerboard that adds clarity and warmth to the guitar's overall sound as well as providing a smooth and energetic playing experience.
