Epiphone SG Standard EISSBCHNH1 Cherry Guitar

The SG Standard is made of a renowned mahogany body and neck combo, and is dressed in a retro finish – some things you just won’t want to change. Its ‘60s SlimTaper neck is an excellent addition, making the SG brilliantly fast and comfortable to play.

Paired with a 12” fingerboard radius and medium jumbo frets, the SG provides an authentic, lively playing experience. Hardware specs include a Graph Tech nut and a LockTone ABR bridge for solid tuning stability.

Sound

The SG Standard houses ProBucker 2 and 3 humbuckers modelled after their Gibson-made counterparts. These are inspired by the original PAF pickups and are characterised by alnico vintage output and sweet sustain. The bridge ProBucker 3 is slightly overwound for extra attack and sounds great through high gain, while the neck humbucker takes a softer touch.

Humbucker power. Each of the Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers loaded into this guitar shines with sonic beauty. The bridge pickup is tight and powerful, offering a high output for sharp crunch and plenty of volume. It's got the characteristics of a 50s pickup mixed with modern tone and definition. The neck humbucker is equally impressive, offering a warmer sound which is both fat and super clear. It's great for bringing out the full potential of lead licks, and giving them a full, saturated voicing. With these dynamic pickups, you'll be able to take on any genre of your choosing.

Exceptional manoeuvrability

It plays perfectly. The mahogany neck is made to a '60s SlimTaper profile, so you can be sure that it provides your hand with the ultimate comfort and manoeuvrability. Tonally, it is warm, helping give your notes a smoothness and richness which complements virtually any style of music. Then there's the Indian laurel fretboard, which is also incredibly playable, offering decent note sustain and a sleekness of its own. You'll be skimming along each fret like a bird, giving you the freedom to improvise in your own style.

When you purchase a piano which we supply with home installation we place the piano in a room of your choice **, we will get in touch once we have received your order to arrange the delivery. Home installations are usually completed within 14 days of the order but often sooner if the item is in stock.
