ESP LTD EC1000 VBD Ex Display
If ESP LTD guitars are known for anything it is their high build quality standards and the incredible hardware they put in their guitars. The EC-1000 is no different sitting on top of the LTD range this guitar is a great quality guitar. Made with a mahogany body and neck with an ebony fingerboard it is a dream to play especially if you like your guitar fast and smooth. Pickup wise you will find a set of Seymour Duncan SH-1 and SH-4 pickups also known as the iconic JB and '59 that have become a standard on solid body guitars. These pickups can work great for any styles but in this guitar they sound best chucked through a high gain amplifier. The bridge pickup is perfect for high gain rhythm sounds with a fat low end. While the neck pickup is slightly lower output and works great for both clean sounds and smooth leads with a rounded off high end. Don't feel like they have left any stone unturned. The LTD locking tuners and Tonepros locking bridge keep this guitars tuning in check all night long. Meaning you don't have to worry about it while you are on stage so you can focus on the show. Classic And Modern Design The ESP LTD Eclipse EC1000VB is their take on a single cut design in a finish I love called Vintage Black. This matte black finish with gold hardware and binding looks fantastic on stage and even after a few marks keeps its beauty. The body shape you might recognize as a fairly common design but it is not quite as simple as that. They have recessed the horn for greater access to the higher frets and made the body about half as thick as most other single cut guitars. This makes it lighter and easier to play. This guitar is a perfect example of taking something traditional and molding it to fit modern playing needs. The flag inlays and headstock keep that same concept. Giving you something that is not in your face and yet not traditional at the same time. That means visually this guitar can work in a wide range of styles and no one would think twice about it.
