ESP LTD guitars and basses are designed to bring the high standards of quality associated with ESP to players running on a tighter budget. Many come equipped with EMG pickups, making them perfect modern metal playing styles.
Established in 1975 as a small shop in Tokyo named "Electric Sound Products" which produced custom replacement parts for guitars, ESP quickly garnered a reputation for high quality products amongst touring artists such as Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones. Popularised in the mid 1980's by Dokken guitarist George Lynch with his outlandishly finished signature models electric guitars (a first for ESP), they then carved out a niche as one of the top choices for guitarists and bassists in heavy metal bands such as Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer and Megadeth, many of whom have remained on their artist roster to this day.
Today, ESP guitars and basses are renowned for the ease of playability, striking finishes and high output EMG pickups which come as standard on the majority of their models. Being the go to guitar brand for metalheads the world over, since the 1980's they've come to gain a huge amount of endorsees which number in the hundreds.
