Fender American Elite Telecaster Ebony Fingerboard Mystic Black

The Fender American Elite Telecaster, Mystic Black is designed for the modern musician in mind, improving the original solid-body guitar with high-performance electronics and hardware to keep up with any playing style. The lightweight alder body is coupled with a maple neck and ebony fingerboard, delivering bright, warm tones with plenty attack and low-end rumble. A compound radius profile is also added, providing players with a modern ''C'' to ''D'' shape for comfortable chording and smooth lead work. The Telecatser is also equipped with a set of powerful Noiseless single-coils, offering incredible vintage tones with a noise-less performance while the S-1 switch provides extra tonal options. An Enhanced string-though-body bridge and synthetic bone nut are included to improve the overall string sustain and resonance. With its stunning style, easy-playing performance, versatility, and delivered in an elite moulded case, the American Elite Telecaster was made to tear it up on stage and in the studio.

A Classic Alder Body

The American Elite Telecaster features a classic alder body, producing a resonant and balanced tone with plenty of clarity. The tonewood provides a decent amount of sustain, creating bright, sizzling highs, excellently rounded lows, and beefy mids. Fender have used alder as their tonewood of choice since the 1950s, as the balanced response and slight upper middle definition makes it perfect for rock and blues playing.

Compound Radius Maple Neck

Designed for fast playing and effortless position changes, the compound profile neck is perfect for all playing styles. With a modern ''C'' shape at the nut, the profile then transitions along the length of the neck to a modern ''D'' shaped profile at the neck heel, providing plenty of support and ensuring comfortable playing sessions. The maple neck is coupled with an ebony fingerboard, providing the guitar with a sizzling, snappy high end, a thick, muscular low end, and a fast attack.

4th Generation Noiseless Pickups

The American Elite is equipped with 4th Generation Noiseless single-coil pickups, which represent a quantum leap in pickup design, combining vintage and modern construction. These pickups deliver vintage-style tones and an effectively noise-free performance. Offering pristine cleans and fat, overdriven tones, the Fender Noiseless pickups scream with pure rock 'n' roll power. The American Elite is also equipped with a special S-1 Switch, which is located on the volume pot, allowing players to switch between series and parallel wiring for more tonal options.

String Thru Construction

The Telecaster incorporates a string-thru body construction to improve the overall tonality and sustain, transferring the vibrations and resonance from the strings to the body. The American Tele bridge features chrome brass saddles to keep the strings stable, allowing the guitar to be played harder without it going out of tune.

Resonant Synthetic Bone Nut

Featuring a carefully fitted synthetic bone nut, the Telecaster delivers an increased resonance and a bright tonality. When compared to traditional plastic and Tusq materials used to construct guitar nuts, synthetic bone improves the vibration transfer between the string and tuning machines without dampening the tone.

Elite Moulded Case

The American Elite series of instruments are delivered in an elite moulded case, featuring body-hugging contours which holds the guitar firmly in place. TSA latches are also included for enhanced security and easy access. This durable case also features a stacking ability, for easy storage and transport.

The History of the Telecaster

The rich history of Fender guitars begins with the Telecaster. An indispensable instrument, the Telecaster was the world's first successful solid-body electric guitar. Perfected after two years of development - and a name change or two - the Telecaster debuted in February 1951 and began its steady ascent towards the stage and studio. Ingeniously engineered with the ability to be heard both loud and clear, it was a marvel of simple design elegance and workhorse functionality. It is perhaps a fitting testimony to its essential original rightness that the Telecaster design has hardly changed ever since.
