Fender CC60S Left-Hand Natural

Compact and comfortable, the CC-60S is ideal for beginning players. The smaller concert-sized body is easy to maneuver in any playing position, with an articulate voice that's great for fingerpicking. Its tuneful solid spruce top, easy-to-play neck, and mahogany back and sides make the CC-60S a perfect choice for the beach, the patio or the coffeehouse.

  • Concert body style
  • Solid spruce top with scalloped "X"-bracing
  • Mahogany back and sides
  • Easy-to-play neck with rolled fingerboard edges

Solid Spruce Top

Spruce is the standard modern tonewood for fashioning the tops of acoustic guitars and other acoustic instruments—few woods can beat its strength, brightness and dynamic range, and it responds well to any acoustic playing style, from hard strumming to fast flatpicking to delicate fingerpicking.

Easy-To-Play Neck

With it's comfortably rolled fingerboard edges, this intrument's neck creates an incredibly comfortable fret-hand feel that's ideal for beginning players or experienced pros alike.

Mahogany Back and Sides

Along with its staggering cosmetic vibe, a resonant combination of mahogany back and sides delivers balanced tone with plenty of volume and midrange.

My Fender cc60s bought new in November 2018 arrived with me in perfect condition. This is the left handed version and is only available in natural, high-gloss finish. The set-up out of the box is good, with neck relief correctly set and the nut slots perfectly cut so that the string height at the first fret is correct. The action at the 12th fret measures 3/32" for the 6th string and 2/32" for the 1st. I prefer it a little lower but this is standard "medium" action. The build quality is very good and I can't find any faults. There was a clear plastic sticker over the sound hole that was difficult to remove and it was hard to clean off the residue from this. The strings fitted are Fender brass wound and I will replace with phosphor bronze soon. The solid spruce top is good for this price point and gives a clear, bright sound, while the body is large enough to give plenty of resonance, even at the lower end. The body measures 18 5/8" long. The lower bout is 14 5/8" wide and the upper one 11" wide. The depth is 4 3/8" at the bridge end and 3 5/8" at the neck. All sizes approx. This is about what one expects for a "concert" size guitar, making it easier to manage than the larger dreadnought size. The much-vaunted "easy to play" neck is a "c" shape and quite comfortable but I don't like it having a gloss finish. The fingerboard is walnut and the frets are quite thin and not very tall. The fret ends are well finished. Looking at other offerings at this sort of price, I think that the Fender is good value for money, as many others have a laminate top. I wish that there was a matte finish or "open pore" version available for left hand.
