Fender Player Lead II MN Neon Green
A homage to Fender's most innovative era. Created in 1979, the ground-breaking Lead series marked a fresh start for the world of guitars, combining unique electronics and distinctive style with a familiar feel. The original concept was to provide a more accessible variant of the Stratocaster, with a neck and pickup selection that stood out to players of all genres. And now, Fender have relaunched the esteemed series and equipped it for the modern stage.
The unveiling of the new Lead series presents two models – Lead II and Lead III. Both feature a more symmetrical take on the Stratocaster body shape, along with a smaller headstock and a secure hardtail bridge. The difference lies in the pickups. The Lead II is home to a pair of neat single-coils, while the Lead III hosts a dual humbucking configuration – both stemming from Fender's iconic Player Series. Special wiring options, vintage feel, and the unprecedented build-quality of Fender – these sensational instruments are ready to lead the way in your next musical chapter…
Shaped for the era. The Lead II comes fitted with a pair of Alnico 5 Player Series single-coils, emitting a tone with all the snap, bite, and exceptional articulation that Fender have become known for. Much like a Strat, the pickups have been slanted to maintain superb note-definition with each string, giving you that coveted vintage bite throughout your lead and rhythm playing. And, with master tone and volume knobs, players have complete freedom to shape their tone to their style.
But the Lead II offers even more sonic options than your average Fender. An integrated phase switch lets you alternate between the pickups working in or out of phase with each other. What this means, is that you have two different voicings to experiment with the same pickups, gifting you with a simple-yet-versatile setup for your electronics. A traditional 3-way selector switches the use of the neck pickup, bridge pickup, or both. So, you can instantly transition between twanging leads, and more textured chords in performance. Discover the secret to your sound.
Feeling inspired? Then you'll be able to pick up this guitar at a moment's notice and get your riffs out. The sleek modern "C" shaped maple neck feels super comfortable in your hands, and it's bolted onto the body for extra tonal brightness and stability. It is backed up perfectly by the maple surface, which offers strong sustain and even more tonal brightness for extra punch. And it feels super smooth underneath your fingertips. Prepare to be inspired.

Great guitar, it had issues out the box with the tuners particularly on the G - something wrong inside it did not function properly. After setting it up, new set of tuner pegs and a seymour duncan thrown in, this is a great gigging guitar.
