What We Think

The Fender Paramount PM-1 Deluxe in natural is currently one of my favourite guitars in the shop. I feel like Fender have really stepped up there acoustic guitar game with this one. With a Solid Spruce top and Solid Rosewood back and sides this guitar is completely solid and has a great warm and loud tone. This is complemented by a mahogany neck which has a very comfortable “C” shape, making it very easy to play. My favourite feature about this guitar is the ebony fret board and bridge. I love to play on an Ebony fret board as I feel the toughness of the wood gives it a great feel and is also great for setup purposes, Because of the solidity of the wood. The neck will not move, which is good for keeping your action extremely stable and keeping your guitar in tune. The Fishman pre amp is very simple to use and has a wonderful tone full of clarity, a phase switch to avoid feedback and a built in tuner. As nice as this Guitar is to play, it also wins on the aesthetic category too. With Abalone concert tone inlays, Checkerboard binding and a single ply scratch plate, this guitar has a real good look of the 60’s originals.

A lovely bit of eye candy. If this wasn’t good enough to top it all of it also comes with a deluxe hard case with a built in humiditor, which to buy alone would cost at least £100. This guitar is a must buy!

Classic Design, Modern Build

For decades Fender has steadily updated, refined and redirected its method of producing acoustic guitars to match and inspire each generation of musicians. The Paramount series takes influences from the past with the design from a 60s checkerboard rosette to the 70s inspired bridge. When combined with the modern, more accurate building quality and reliable resources, the Paramount series will last long into your playing career.

Versatile Sound at an Affordable Price

Fender prides itself on making great sound for a variety of situations. The Paramount series of guitars are ideal for many situations. As a home guitar, it provides a light tone and solid build that will be easily suitable for people learning or honing their skills. As a studio guitar, its ‘C’ shaped neck and Rosewood fingerboard give it the versatility for all playing styles, whilst the classic dreadnought body shape makes it suitable for all genres. As a live or busking guitar, the Paramount series has the bright tone and projection to be picked up by audience, and the on-board Fishman Preamp system is great to plug into a PA or amplifier. The Fender Paramount series has the versatility for all styles of player to confidently record, use live, or just practise with.
