The Fender Redondo Classic features a solid sitka spruce top that delivers a versatile sound, and is able to accommodate numerous playing styles greatly, from lighter fingerpicking styles to more aggressive strumming patterns. In addition, the Redondo's solid sitka spruce top contributes to the overall sound, adding clear, crisp and articulate tones with a broad dynamic range. Sitka spruce is quite elastic in nature, which resonates well whilst remaining strong, and provides a focused, clear sound of deep lows, warm midi-range, and bright sparkling highs. Its stunning solid top is coupled with solid mahogany back and sides which produce a resonant dark warmth. The Redondo's solid mahogany back and sides also deliver a meaty mid-range, producing punchy, woody tones with plenty of depth and complexity that will please most playing styles.
This Classic electro acoustic from Fender features a Redondo body, which is similar in style and size to the classic dreadnought shape. With its bigger body, the Redondo Classic is able to project a bold, rich and commanding voice yet still maintains overall tonal balance. In addition, the Redondo body features optimized bracing, which adds superb resonance and reinforces the guitar's structure for stability. Furthermore, the Redondo's big brash body offers a comfortable playing experience to those more comfortable with bigger bodied guitars, whilst its cutaway profile also provides added comfort. The Fender Redondo's cutaway profile also offers players easy access to upper frets and more challenging chords, ensuring a fluid, smooth movement up and down the fingerboard.
Constructed from mahogany, the Fender Redondo's neck offers plenty of resonance and warmth, which is perfect for a wide range of playing styles. In addition, its lightweight neck has a slim taper and C-shaped-profile, preventing the likeliness of a cramping hand and offering a smooth and fluent playing experience. Furthermore, the neck is topped with a pau ferro fingerboard which has a smooth feel and offers similar sonic characteristics to rosewood, adding warmth to the overall sound. The fingerboard is also sprinkled with maple dot inlays for added elegance.
The Fender Redondo Classic is perfect for the performing musicians due to it being equipped with a premium Fender/Fishman preamp. This specially designed preamp has been voiced specifically for the Redondo's body, meaning it will pickup your acoustic'c natural voice clearly and beautifully. Once plugged-in, players have some basic options for shaping their tone, offering basic sound tweaking for live and rehearsal environments without sacrificing the Redondo's naturally rich and articulate voice.
