Gibson ES-335 ESDPAFCNH1 Dot Antique Faded Cherry Left Handed

The Gibson ES-335 DOT is the cornerstone of the Gibson ES line-up. From its inaugural appearance in 1958, the Gibson ES-335 immediately set an unmatched standard. The pearloid dot inlay rosewood fingerboard on a hand-rolled Rounded “C” mahogany neck remind players where it all started. The all-new Memphis Historic Spec II (MHS II) humbucking pickups paired with our Memphis Tone Circuit Plus (MTC Plus) circuitry showcases the versatile Gibson ES tone that players have craved for over 60 years. Tuning stability and precise intonation are provided by the Grover ‘Milk Bottle’ tuners, an ABR-1 bridge with brass saddles, and a Stopbar tailpiece.

The Gibson 2019 ES-335 Dot Electric Guitar offers the coveted playability of the original ES-335 and pairs it with modern appointments to ensure peerless consistency. Each model is supplied with a Gibson hardshell case as well as a Gibson accessory kit to help keep you model in pristine condition. Whether you're jamming with friends, laying down tracks in the studio or taking to the stage to wow adoring fans, the 2019 ES-335 Dot can do it all and do it in style.

CLASSIC ES-335 STYLE

The ES-335 is one of Gibson's most enduring and coveted models, establishing itself as the go to guitar for many musical legends. From country to hard rock, from local music hall to the grandest of stages, the ES-335 has seen and done it all. The 2019 Dot adheres to the classic hollowbody design, utilising 3-ply maple/poplar/maple for the body to generate its confident energy infused with warmth. The carefully appointed maple centreblock tempers the output tone to prevent unwanted feedback when performing via an amplifier at high volumes. Spruce bracing supports the tonewoods to prevent unwanted buckling over time, without compromising on resonance to maximise tonal potential. A resilient coating of gloss nitrocellulose lacquer protects the paintwork from unwanted blemishes and allows each model to age gracefully. Single-ply cream binding provides a subtle contrast to the paintwork, whilst stylish F-holes are on hand to evoke that classic vibe.

STURDY NECK DESIGN

Connected to the body is a solid quartersawn mahogany neck, which is shaped to the rounded "C" profile with rolled binding to establish a delightfully comfortable playing experience. The neck extends along a generous 24.75-inch scale length, which teases a warmer character from each note without sacrificing on clarity. Paired with the neck is a luxurious rosewood fingerboard, which is home to 22 frets that are lavished with pearloid dot position inlays. Cream binding traces along the edge of the fingerboard to afford seamless transitions between frets. The 12-inch fingerboard radius allows you to execute your technique with ease, from laying down chops to enthusiastically bending strings to the high heavens.

'57 CLASSIC PICKUPS

Gibson has equipped the 2019 ES-335 Dot with a '57 Classic humbucker in the neck and a '57 Classic Plus humbucker in the bridge. These beauties are very similar in sound to the coveted vintage "PAF"-style tones that Gibson lovers crave. The neck pickup generates rich, creamy tones that are a blues player's dream come true. The hotter sounding bridge pickup is fantastic for kicking out some solid rock tones with plenty of beef and snarl. The Memphis Tone Circuit features a pair of independent volume and independent tone controls (black top hats) for each pickup, with hand-wired 500K potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors for the smoothest possible attenuation at any volume.

GIG-READY HARDWARE

The body is equipped with an ABR-1 tune-o-matic bridge with titanium saddles, which is paired with a die-cast zinc stopbar tailpiece to optimise intonation and sustain. The headstock is home to Grover 'Milk Bottle' Rotomatic tuning machines, which maintain tuning integrity with steadfast dedication. No matter how hard you rock out, your strings will stay faithful throughout each and every performance.
