The Les Paul Traditional is equipped with a set of powerful BurstBucker pickups, with the low output BB1 at the neck and the medium output BB2 at the bridge. Gibson Burstbuckers were designed to deliver those vintage PAF tones, yet within a modern pickup. The Les Paul first entered the world in the early 1940s, when the legendary guitarist created the world's first solid body electric guitar that was known back then as 'The Log'. The Les Paul Traditional body is crafted from mahogany, delivering beautifully rich, warm tonal characteristics. The single-cutaway design provides incredible access to the upper frets, while its AA figured maple top adds stunning aesthetics as well as enhanced brightness.
As well as offering a comfortable lightweight mahogany body, the Les Paul Traditional also features a mahogany neck with a rounded profile. This neck profile offers the ultimate comfort, and allows for a smooth play. As well as providing fluid hand flexibility, the mahogany wood helps enhance the natural warmth of the body, creating a high-end saturated in sparkling sweetness and a thick low-end response. The addition of a rosewood fingerboard helps enhance the natural characteristics of the body, adding extra sparkle to the high end and opening up the midrange.
The addition of a TekToid graphite nut offers increased harmonics in the middle and upper frequency range, perfect for creating a rich and detailed tone. TekToid Graphite is the best high-tech cure for eliminating undesirable friction within the nut, which can cause tuning problems. It is the ideal choice for a guitar nut, as it has excellent conductive qualities which overall benefit a guitar's tone and sustain.
The Les Paul Traditional provides a stable and reliable tone with Gibson hardware. There is a vintage ABR Tune-O-Matic bridge, offering incredible string stability and a truly comfortable performance. Its high-quality construction holds onto the string tension while maximising the transfer of vibrations for an enhanced sustain. There are also Vintage Deluxe tuners on-board that offer precise tuning and classic aesthetics.
