The Gibson Explorer in Antique Natural is a fantastic, versatile guitar. A popular yet Different shape of guitar created in 1958 by Gibson gives the Explorer a very Rock and Roll look. This guitar shape is popularly known to be used by 1980’s Metal artists such as James Hetfield from Metallica for its Futuristic yet radical look. The 2019 Gibson Explorer is the newest version of the guitar. Fitted with two Burstbucker Humbucker Pickups to give you the Rock and Roll tone you need. The three way switch on the guitar allows you to be versatile with your tone. With the Bridge Position giving you a Crunchy metal tone along with the middle position and neck position giving you a great warm but powerful tone. Grover tuners are fitted to the headstock of this guitar which is great for staying in tune. Connected to the body is a sturdy mahogany neck which has been carved to a slim taper profile so you can play the guitar fast and comfortably. This guitar is also fitted with a Rosewood Fretboard with 22 Frets. Included with this fantastic guitar is a stunning Gibson Historic brown hard case to keep the guitar safe when you’re out and about. The case is moulded to fit the guitar perfectly. Inside the case is a Gibson care kit to keep the guitar in pristine condition. After playing this guitar I felt that the overall playability was great. The guitar has a low comfortable action which makes playing chords or any solo parts easy to play; I found that the BurstBucker pickups give the guitar a great Classic rock and roll tone perfect for playing rock/metal. This guitar is great at staying in tune and overall a very versatile guitar. If you are a guitarist that loves the classic 70s/80s rock/metal tone then this is the guitar for you!

The Gibson 2019 Explorer Electric Guitar in Antique Natural combines features from classic '50s and '70s models to create a beautiful guitar that still seems light-years ahead of its time. Having captivated rockers for decades, the 2019 model introduces the Explorer to the next generation of guitarists. Each model is supplied with a Gibson gigbag case to keep it safe from harm, whilst a Gibson accessory kit allows it to be kept in pristine condition.
The 2019 Explorer is carved the futuristic body shape that we've all come to know and love, the very same one adopted by rockers and metallers who want to stand out on stage. The edgy lines create an unabashed yet sophisticated visual aesthetic, whilst retaining a balanced feel to maximise playing comfort. The mahogany establishes a resounding energy with substantial sustain that makes it perfect for those who want to belt out energetic riffs. A protective coating of gloss nitrocellulose lacquer preserves the cool antique natural finish, which is complemented by a vintage-style 3-ply white pickguard.
Connected to the body is a solid mahogany neck, which is fitted using set-in construction for improved resonance and sustain. The 24.75-inch scale neck is carved to the slim taper profile to promote a lightning fast feel for the fretting hand. The TekToid nut stabilises each string to promote consistency, which allows you to play as enthusiastically as you like. Married to the neck is a heavenly rosewood fingerboard, which is home to 22 cryogenically-treated low frets with acrylic dot position inlays to guide your way. The 12-inch fingerboard radius encourages you to tear through licks and riffs with abandon.
The 2019 Explorer is home to a pair of PAF-inspired Burstbucker pickups with a 2 in the neck and 3 in the bridge. The tones produced by these beauties is the stuff of legend, thanks to Gibson's meticulous adherence to the original PAF design. The Burstbucker 2 is ideal for laying down blues licks and riffs with creamy warmth, whilst the Burstbucker 3 tips towards a significantly hotter output for more raucous tones. If you're the type of guitarist who likes their music loud but don't want to compromise on articulation or quality, then this pair has you covered. Control comes in the form of black speed knobs for attenuating volume for each pickup as well as a master tone control - plus a three-way pickup selector switch for rapid-fire adjustment.
The body is home to the hardworking aluminium Nashville tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, which anchor each string securely to guarantee a seamless connection that is designed to optimise intonation and sustain. The headstock is equipped with Grover mini Rotomatic tuning machines with that work tirelessly to maintain tuning integrity with absolute precision.
