What We Think
A classic guitar by Guild, made popular in the 70's. Over 40 years later, it's back and better than ever! It's solid mahogany body provides a lush warmth, and it's double cutaway allows easier access for solos and bending. Thanks to its grove sta-tite tuners, the Guild S-100 holds tuning stability very well. Even though the S-100 is armed with gritty HB-1 humbucking pickups, it sounds superb when set to a clean tone. This guitar really is a dream to play.
Guild S-100 Polara Guitar | Cherry
The Guild S-100 Polara is an amazing 70's throwback with a look and feel that screams pure vintage. S-100 models have found themselves in the hands of bands like Soundgarden and The Lawrence Arms, so it has some serious alt-rock street cred.
The S-100's solid mahogany body and set mahogany neck give it a resonant and throaty tone that is at home with heavy metal as it is with jazz. A pair of Guild HB-1 humbuckers, each with their own individual volume and tone respond well to gain and break up nicely. Other features include a rosewood fingerboard with block inlays, classic Guild headstock logo and a Guild compensated stopbar tailpiece with a Tune-O-Matic bridge. If you want a rocking solid body with retro vibes, look no further than the Guild S-100.
