Kawai Digital Piano CA701 Satin White.
This replaces the Kawai CA79 an it is a massive improvement. The Grand Feel III key action with wooden keys, counter weights and grip on the keys is very responsive with a lovely fast dynamic feel. The 110w 6 speaker system and new samples sound absolutely fantastic with nice reverb effects and more! The pedals react like a grand piano when you use piano sounds and do other functions like fast and slow tremolo when you use organ sounds. The cabinet design looks beautiful with a nice lid and curved edging with traditional legs. The Kawai CA-701 looks good, has a great key feel and sounds amazing. I think this piano is excellent value for money.

This revised model has a brand-new SK-EX Competition Grand piano sound that is reproduced utilising Kawai's cutting-edge multi-channel SK-EX Rendering sound engine while retaining the industry-leading Grand Feel III wooden-key keyboard movement of its predecessors. This most recent recreation of the marquee Shigeru Kawai piano employs completely new sample data, specifically captured from the player's perspective, and complements the original SK-EX Concert Grand. It has a bright and clear tonal character with a characteristic attack. This piano replaces the Kawai CA79, the model above is the CA901.

 Shigeru Kawai SK-EX piano sounds from the CA701 are treated utilising new audio hardware that includes a high-performance DAC system and specially created piano filter. The instruments' remarkable speaker systems then transmit this high-fidelity sound. The CA701 also has improved 360-degree top speaker diffusers, which gives players and listeners alike an extraordinarily rich and real musical experience. 

The special cheekblock touchscreen display on the CA701 comes with an upgraded anti-glare panel and a smooth matte surface that lessens overhead reflections for increased visibility. Updates to the instrument's user interface include the ability to turn off the LCD display after a certain amount of time, minimising visual distractions for the musician. With the adoption of the newest v5 standards by Bluetooth MIDI and Bluetooth Audio components, wireless communication has also been updated. This ensures ultra-low latency, increased reliability, and greater sound quality when coupled with the newest mobile devices.

Grand piano tones from the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX Concert and Competition model were simulated using SK-EX Rendering technology. 
Shigeru Kawai instruments, which are lauded for their tone clarity and outstanding dynamic range, are frequently used in concert halls and other musical institutions around the world and are known as the "premier pianos of Japan." The Shigeru Kawai SK-EX grand piano, which is the centrepiece of Kawai's lineup, is recreated in the CA701 model. The SK-EX Concert Grand piano sound, which is distinguished by its warm, sensitive tone, wide attack, and rich reverberation, has established a reputation as one of the most realistic replicas available in a digital piano.

This sophisticated voice is enhanced with a brand-new SK-EX Competition Grand piano sound that faithfully replicates the most recent SK-EX-L instruments that have recently enjoyed success and wide-spread acclaim at the Hamamatsu, Chopin, and Sendai international piano competitions. The SK-EX Competition Grand piano sound has been precisely recorded from the pianist's position for the best possible performance experience. It has a bright, clear tonal character and an unique thick attack. 

Kawai has created SK-EX Rendering, a piano-focused sound engine that combines multi-channel, 88-key sampling with the most recent resonance modelling technology, in order to accurately replicate the magnificent sound of a Shigeru digitally. The Shigeru Kawai SK-EX grand piano's sound is recorded using several channels, allowing for the reproduction of a wider variety of tonal qualities and a more lively, accurate response to dynamic shifts. Advanced resonance algorithms, which physically simulate the complex tonal interactions produced by the strings, damper, and various other parts of an acoustic piano, further enhance this naturally expressive sound, giving players the impression that they are sitting at a living, breathing instrument.

Ebony & Ivory Touch key surfaces, counterweights, and a "Let-Off" mechanism are features of the Grand Feel III wooden-key action. 
The industry-leading Grand Feel III wooden-key keyboard action, which draws on Kawai's 95+ years of acoustic piano craftsmanship to deliver an extraordinarily realistic playing experience, articulates these excellent SK-EX grand piano tones. The eighty-eight black and white keys on the Grand Feel III action, which pivot in a smooth, seesaw-like motion on a central balance pin, are all made entirely of long pieces of wood, just like those on a grand piano. For increased responsiveness and realism, grade-weighted metal hammers are thrown with this natural movement. The various velocities of these hammers were precisely monitored using triple-sensor technology. 

The extra-long pivot length of the enlarged wooden keys on the Grand Feel III action is comparable to that of a Kawai acoustic grand piano. When playing toward the back of the keyboard, this gives a more consistent touch weight, and the additional counterweights beneath each key aid to further balance the action's weight during pianissimo sections. The Grand Feel III keyboard action also has Kawai's Ebony & Ivory Touch key surfaces, which have a natural, matte texture that is smooth but not slippery and softly absorb moisture to help with playing control.

The CA701 digital piano was created by Kawai R&D's highly skilled audio engineering team and uses specialised parts made for high-end audio reproduction. The Concert Artists' high-end power amplifiers work in tandem with high-performance DAC (digital analogue conversion) components to recreate the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX sounds with breathtaking richness and clarity. This filtering technique was specifically designed for acoustic piano sounds. 

The instrument includes a 6-speaker delivery system with strong amplifiers and high-quality driver units, as well as specially designed diffuser panels that help the pianos' tonal projection spread out in all directions. When you purchase a piano which we supply with home installation we place the piano in a room of your choice **, we will get in touch once we have received your order to arrange the delivery. Home installations are usually completed within 14 days of the order but often sooner if the item is in stock.
