Kawai K500 Aures Ebony Polished Upright Piano
The sound of hammers striking strings, resonating through solid spruce. Warm vibrations that illuminate a room, leaving its audience enchanted. The natural voice of an acoustic piano is truly unmistakable.
A fine piano entices musicians to perform with spontaneity and passion, yet such unbridled expressiveness may not always be appropriate. Indeed, in certain environments, an acoustic piano can prove disruptive; the diligent tones of children practising scales are unlikely to be welcomed by other family members wishing to watch television, while even the most gentle, soothing Chopin preludes have the potential to irritate neighbours if performed after an acceptable time.
Fortunately, AnyTimeX3 instruments incorporate an acoustic muting feature with powerful digital audio components, allowing pianists to continue enjoying the distinctive feeling of a traditional piano, while listening discreetly using private headphones. The AnyTimeX3 models come with newly developed Kawai SH-9 headphones. These are specially matched to the internal sound source of the instruments.
Introducing the brand new Kawai K500 Aures hybrid upright piano. The Kawai K500 Aures piano is an identical instrument to the Kawai K500 premium acoustic upright piano but has the additional benefit of the built-in Aures Hybrid Technology.
The name AURES stands for the blending of AUDIO and RESONANCE. Kawai Aures instruments are fitted with a cutting edge resonance system which uses the soundboard of the Kawai Upright piano to deliver high-quality audio without adding external speakers.
The K500 Aures plays and responds as a normal acoustic upright piano, but can be played 'silently' with headphones when you wish to practice without disturbing other people in the household. In addition to this, the Aures piano features the same advanced digital technology featured in Kawai's flagship digital pianos which offers a huge range of different digital piano voices, as well as numerous other instrument and orchestral sounds.
The 'digital' piano sound can also be heard through built-in transducer speakers which are attached to the piano soundboard. This unique technology creates a vibrant, lively sound using the natural wood material of the piano. The digital piano sound engine can be mixed with the traditional sound of the acoustic piano to create sound layers never before heard from an acoustic instrument.
To summarise, the K500 Aures piano can be played as a high-quality acoustic piano, a Kawai 'Anytime' piano for silent practice, or as a hybrid piano - mixing the best features of digital and acoustic instruments together to create completely new sounds!
At 130cm tall, the K500 model is able to rival many smaller grand pianos in tonal quality and sustain. This model features Neotex key surfaces and extended key length, which gives the player a more even response from the front to back of the playing surface, as well as eradicating any slipping caused by the hands' natural oils. As a result, the keys have great durability over the years and will resist any cracking or fading. Built to a high standard in Japan, the K500 also features Duplex Scaling, solid spruce tapered soundboard, wide music rack and Kawai's Millenium III Upright Action.
