A good ukulele that delivers reasonable sound quality and this would be perfect for advanced or professional ukulele players who want only the best and this ukulele also has a Swamp Ash finish
Mahalo MEB1TBR Short Scale Ukulele Bass | Brown

The electric bass is getting accepted and adored by bass players, not only you can play it like a full size bass guitar (with the same fingerboard width and same finger pattern), but also it is much smaller in size and lighter in weight.

The Mahalo Electric Bass features in American Swamp Ash body (Arched), Selected Canadian Maple with Rosewood Inlays as Neck, Aquila Thundergut string from Italy and its powerful pick-up system. And all these features enable your MEB1 to deliver the best bass sound you have ever heard.

Purchased on a whim as I wanted something with a more contra bass vibe than an electric bass, which it has, so great for a bit of home recording.

Seems well made for the price lovely contoured body including hollowed out back. Very comfortable. Strings, as you would expect for the short scale, are super chunky so requires sympathetic playing to maintain tone and positive left hand to reduce fret buzz. I suspect the silicon strings will require a period to settle down to. So easy does it with this one overall. Doesn't like heavy handed playing. The active electronics are a concern as there is some clipping going on with tone boosted. I suspect the 9v powered circuitry is running out of headroom. I initially thought it was my audio interface clipping but it's the bass uke. So for now it's a case of backing off those tone controls. The manufacturers should have addressed this (padding the piezo output, for example, to maintain headroom).

Item took nearly a fortnight to arrive, not two days. However communication from Rimmers was good and the item arrived well packed.

Looks great though and a lot of fun. Overall I'm pleased with this one. I just won't admit to anyone I know that I've now got a uke, even a bass uke.
