Established in 1978 Rimmers Music is one of the most successful and respected musical instrument retailers in the country. We have 5 stores in the North West of England, a store in Edinburgh and a huge warehouse/distribution centre with offices dealing with our website, mail order and education sales distribution (located in Leyland, Lancashire). We have a number of Rimmers Music Schools and we are recognised as an LCM (London College of Music) and Rock School Examination Centre, This means that many of our premises are used for the purpose of musical instrument examinations. We make getting the musical instruments you need for your school, music service or music hub as simple as we can. We have thousands of musical instruments to choose from on our website, most with free next day delivery. If you are a council funded school, or vat registered, you can easily view all our products excluding vat by changing the "Inc. VAT" setting at the top of the website to "Ex. VAT". Just add products to your basket in the usual way to see the totals.
Educational establishments are able to order online and pay using the usual payment methods such as CREDIT/DEBIT CARD, PAYPAL, AMAZON PAY or on FINANCE. We also accept OFFICIAL SCHOOL ORDERS via telephone, email, or fax. You can even place your order online with just your school order number and we will contact you to confirm.

SCHOOL CREDIT VOUCHERS
Have you ever purchase items for your school you don't really need rather than lose your budget, or risk having your allowance reduced if you do not spend up? Don’t waste your budget, buy our school credit vouchers and get the products you want when you are ready. Purchase our school credit vouchers and have a full 12 months to decide what you want to spend them on. They are available for purchase at any time during the year and can be used in parts, or all at once. We will talk you through the process when you contact us.
INSTALLATIONS AND STUDIO EQUIPMENT
We have the knowledge to help guide you with PA, studio and live performance equipment. Please talk to our experts about your specific requirements and we can make a bespoke system for your needs.
MUSICAL INSTRUMENT REPAIRS
We have fully trained engineers and our own extensive workshop facilities. We repair electronic equipment, brass, woodwind and acoustic pianos. We will collect and deliver and may be able to loan you instruments so you can continue lessons without interruption.
MUSICAL INSTRUMENT LEASING AND FINANCE
We can help you fund your musical instrument projects by arranging finance or lease purchase via our financial partners at SYSCAP and V12 Finance. We can arrange a full quote and you can pay over 6 to 10 years and spread the cost. We can even arrange for the instruments to be renewed at regular intervals during the agreement.
ASSISTED INSTRUMENT PURCHASE SCHEME (AIPS)
The Assisted Instrument Purchase Scheme also known as AIPS (sometimes abbreviated to Assisted Purchase) is a scheme that enables pupils at Local Education Authority Schools to purchase instruments free from VAT. In addition to our customary discounts, this can mean fantastic savings. This procedure has the full approval of H.M. Customs and Excise. We have long experience in operating this scheme on a nationwide basis. With the support of your school it helps students (and parents) get the instruments they need at a fraction of the price they would pay usually. We have a dedicated page explaining this and have a very simple order form for schools (or students/parents) to download if you wish to support it.
