So, the Cello looks like the viola and the violin but it is much bigger, it measures in at around 4 feet long and the strings are much thicker. The cello has a wide variety of tones, from warm low pitches to bright high notes. 

To play the cello, you need to be sat down, with the body of the cello sat between your legs, and then placing the neck on your left shoulder. The body rests on the floor and is supported with a metal peg. Using a bow you press down on the strings and with your other hand you pluck the strings.
