Finance Information
Low Finance Options
At Rimmers Music, we offer finance options on selected pianos, keyboards, synthesizers and related accessories, helping you spread the cost of your purchase in a way that suits your budget.
Whether you are choosing a digital piano, acoustic piano, keyboard or eligible accessory package, finance may be available online or in store on qualifying products or basket values. You can choose your deposit, select an available repayment term and complete your application through our finance provider.
Finance is available subject to status, affordability and approval. Terms and conditions apply.
When shopping online, you can view available finance options on eligible product pages or select finance as your payment method at checkout. If you are visiting one of our stores, a member of our team will be happy to explain the available options and guide you through the application process.
Please note that if a finance agreement is completed online or by mail order, your order can only be delivered to the registered home address shown on the finance agreement. This is required for proof of address, fraud prevention and customer protection.

Paying By Finance - Frequently Asked Questions
Finance can be a useful option if you would like to spread the cost of your purchase rather than paying in full at the time of order. Below are answers to some of the most common questions about applying for finance with Rimmers Music.
How do I choose to Pay by Finance?
When shopping online, select the finance option on the product page or at checkout, where available. You will then be guided through the application process.
In store, simply ask a member of staff before paying and they will explain the finance options available on your chosen product.
Who is eligible to apply for online finance?
To apply for online finance, you must meet the eligibility requirements set by the finance provider. This usually includes being aged 18 or over, being a UK resident, having a suitable bank account for Direct Debit payments and meeting the lender’s credit and affordability checks.
Finance applications are assessed by the finance provider, and approval is not guaranteed.
When do my repayments start?
Monthly repayments usually begin after your purchase has been delivered. The exact repayment start date will be confirmed within your finance agreement.
Please read your finance agreement carefully before signing, as it will include the repayment schedule, amount of credit, interest rate, total amount payable and other important details.
Are there any arrangement fees or hidden extras for credit?
There are no arrangement fees or hidden extras where stated by the finance provider. The total cost of credit, including the interest rate, representative APR, monthly repayments and total amount payable, will be shown before you enter into the agreement.
Representative example:
Cash price of goods: £1,800
Deposit or advance payment: £180
Amount of credit: £1,620
Interest rate: 16.9% p.a. fixed
Representative APR: 16.9%
Term: 24 months
Monthly repayment: £79.11
Total amount payable: £2,078.64
Please note that your own repayment amount will depend on the product price, deposit amount, finance term and finance option selected.
Applying for online finance
Applying online is designed to be quick and straightforward. Once your eligible products are in the basket, select finance as your payment method and complete the online application form.
You will be asked to provide personal, address, employment and financial details as part of the application. The finance provider will then assess your application and provide a decision.
If approved, you will be shown how to sign your finance agreement. In many cases, this can be completed electronically. In some circumstances, you may be asked to print, sign and return the agreement.
Your order will not usually be processed for delivery until the completed finance agreement has been accepted and any additional checks have been completed.
How quickly will my finance application be approved?
Many finance applications receive a decision quickly. In some cases, an application may be referred for further review, and the finance provider may request additional information before making a final decision.
If your application is approved, we will process your order in line with stock availability, finance approval and our delivery requirements.
Once my application is approved, what happens next?
Once your finance application has been approved, you will be asked to sign your finance agreement. This may be completed electronically or, where required, by printing, signing and returning the agreement.
Please read all documents carefully before signing. You should check that the personal details, product details, deposit, repayment term and total amount payable are correct.
Once the finance provider confirms that the agreement is complete and accepted, Rimmers Music will process your order and arrange delivery where applicable.
Will you credit score me and if so, what does this mean?
Credit scoring is used by finance providers to help assess applications for credit. This may include information provided on your application form, details from credit reference agencies and other affordability checks.
The purpose of credit scoring is to help the finance provider make a consistent and fair lending decision. Rimmers Music does not make the final lending decision.
If you decline my application, what is the reason?
If your application is declined, the finance provider may not be able to give Rimmers Music the specific reason. A declined application may be linked to credit score, affordability, credit reference agency information, identity checks, existing financial commitments or other lending criteria.
Different finance providers may assess applications differently, so a declined application does not necessarily mean that you will be declined by every lender.
What type of information do credit reference agencies hold about me?
Credit reference agencies may hold information such as electoral roll details, County Court Judgments, bankruptcy records, credit applications, existing credit accounts, payment history and outstanding balances.
This information may be used by lenders when assessing credit applications.
How do I obtain a copy of this information?
You can request a copy of the information held about you by contacting the relevant credit reference agencies directly. The main UK credit reference agencies include Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.
If you believe any information is incorrect, you can ask the relevant agency to review or correct it.
If my application is not successful, can I re-apply?
You may be able to re-apply in future if your circumstances change. However, it is usually sensible to leave time between applications, as repeated credit applications may affect your credit file.
Can I request delivery to an address other than my home?
For finance orders, delivery must usually be made to the registered home address on the finance agreement. This is required to help protect against fraud and ensure the delivery address matches the approved finance application.
If you need delivery to a different address, please contact us before placing your order. Alternative delivery arrangements may not always be possible.
What is APR and Rate of Interest?
The interest rate is the cost of borrowing money, shown as a percentage. APR, or Annual Percentage Rate, is a wider measure of the cost of borrowing because it can include interest and other charges connected with the credit agreement.
APR is designed to help customers compare different credit options. The exact APR, interest rate, repayment term and total amount payable will be shown in your finance agreement before you sign.
