With a solid sitka spruce top and mahogany body, the Sigma DM-18+ produces a versatile sonic-footprint with a crisp, articulate tonal output blended with a warm, resonant sound and added emphasis to bass and treble notes. This classic-sounding acoustic also features a bone nut that adds further amounts of resonance and sustain to the guitar's overall tone. Furthermore, the Sigma DM-18+ features a D-14 fret body, also widely known as the dreadnought, offering superb volume and projection with a full, rich and bold sound that accommodates numerous genres and techniques with ease. The Sigma DM-18+ also has a traditional acoustic look found on more authentic models and vintage builds, featuring a faux tortoise pickguard, multi-stripe rosette, dot inlays, and chrome hardware.
