Sigma DR28V Acoustic Guitar Rosewood Back & Sides Natural

A throwback to the days of two-piece neck guitars, the DR-28V sports the traditional diamond join as a classy reference to vintage guitar making! A luxurious looking antique binding and an elegant tortoise shell really adds some flavour to this great sounding guitar. It has all the rich, well balanced tonal qualities of the DR-28 but if your looking for something that has a more ornate finish then, grab the DR-28V now!

The mother of all dreadnaughts, the Martin D-28 is quite probably one of the most influential acoustic guitars in the history of music! Famously chapmpioned by Jimmy Page and used on albums 2 and 3, it has been heard world wide. Now you can emulate your favoruate guitarists and albums with the Sigma DR-28, almost identical in looks and featuring a chrome, grover diecast tuner like the Martin, you will be hard pressed to hear and see the difference.

In the late 1960s the situation for US guitar manufacturers became difficult: guitars that were made in Japan, looking very similar to US guitars, were flooding the market but at a much lower price. These guitars increasingly endangered the US manufacturers dominance on the market, and a few American companies reacted to that development in an appropriate manner: They did not take any legal steps but instead launched a counter offensive. That’s when “Sigma Guitars” was born. In 1970 “SIGMA”, the brandname for acoustic guitars, was launched.

Now a new line of Sigma branded guitars are on the market through AMI Musical Instruments GmbH in Germany.

As a distributor of fine acoustic and classical guitars for over 25 years, it is a great honour that we were able to obtain for some parts of the world the rights of the time-honoured name “Sigma Guitars Est. 1970” as well as the distinct Sigma logo.

Our business partner and guitar manufacturer is one of the most respected makers who has been building outstanding quality guitars for over 20 years.

Sigma Guitars have an excellent, yes even legendary reputation. With outstanding quality both in construction and sound, it is striking but not surprising that there are hardly any second-hand Sigma guitars up for sale. Most owners still swear by their instruments and would never part with them.
