Squier Classic Vibe 70S Jaguar Laurel Black
With present-day touches including clear-sounding Duncan Designed™ pickups and a modern fingerboard radius, the Squire Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar produces a brilliantly clear tone whilst maintaining the retro look. Fitted with dual Duncan Designed™ JG-101 single-coil pickups, the Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar provides the nuance and bite that the Jaguar guitar design is known for. These pickups are wired up to a versatile set of electronics which gives access to separate lead and rhythm circuits, which can be changed to your own taste by using the on/off and tone circuit switch. The Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar features a vintage style bridge with a non-locking floating vibrato, providing smooth sounds during string bending. The neck on Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar has a vintage-tinted gloss finish for a highly desirable aged look. This tinted neck, alongside the beautifully shiny black body provides the 70s Jaguar with stunning aesthetics.

Comfortable neck profile

The Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar features a familiar slim C-shaped maple neck, which offers comfortable playability across the whole fingerboard, while its natural satin finish allows the player's hand to effortlessly glide, for high-speed styles. Topped with an Indian laurel fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets, players can achieve effortless bends, as well as a warm, rich tone.

Versatile tonewoods and classic looks

A basswood body is chosen for its versatile performance, with a balanced frequency response and light weight for a comfortable feel during long playing sessions. The body is crafted with the classic Jaguar offset body shape, giving an effortlessly-cool look and easy access to the top-frets. The neck is finished with a vintage-tint gloss finish, so you'll have the authentic look of a vintage guitar.

Modern play-ability

The Jaguar is defined by its shorter (24'') scale length, which gives the strings a "slinkier" feel and makes the fret spacing narrower for an easier playing feel. This makes chordal and solo work easier and is ideal for those with smaller hands or for musicians who prefer an easier action for string bends. The neck has a "C" shaped profile that enables easy reach over all 6-strings, while the offset body enables easy access to all 22 frets. The Jaguar is loaded with two Duncan Designed single coil pickups to provide the nuance and bite that this guitar design is known for. The pickups are wired up to a versatile set of electronics which gives access to separate lead and rhythm circuits.

Vintage modified

The Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar takes its design inspiration from the Fender Jaguar of the 1960s. The original Fender Jaguar had a unique identity that made it extremely popular with alternative and indie musicians. The Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar has the same look and sound of the original '60s Fender design, including the distinct offset body, versatile electronics and short 24'' scale length. The Squier Jaguar gains the 'Modified' moniker due to its modified play-ability; this gives the guitar an up-to-date feel, allowing it to keep up with contemporary instruments.

High-quality electronics and hardware

This Jaguar is equipped with a range of high-quality components, delivering a professional-grade performance to players on a budget. A toggle switch, tone controls, and volume control provides excellent tone shaping capabilities, allowing players to dial in the perfect tone for their playing style. The 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Adjustable with “Floating” Tremolo Tailpiece offers unique, pitch bending possibilities, while the addition of a synthetic bone nut helps enhance the natural resonance and string stability.

History of the Jaguar

The Jaguar was a feature-laden instrument released in 1962 and designed to tempt players away from other guitar brands. It had a relatively unusual switching system but during its 13-year production run it did not sell as well as the classic Stratocaster and Telecaster models. It became popular in the surf music scene, and later with punk and rock players of the '80s and '90s, once production had been ceased. Fender began making a Japanese-made model in the '80s, and a USA reissue in 1999. It is now famed for its off-set design and unique tones.
