What We Think
A recent addition to the store, the Vox AC10 takes things back to basics, no fancy effects, no faffing around. Just turn on set your levels, reverb and off you go. The tone is almost heart warming, the fullness and incredible depth make you want to play for hours on end. With enough power to shake the room, this beauty if one you have to experience in the flesh.
Dan - Blackpool
While this is not a reissue of the original, you can tell that it heavily inspired this amplifier. It features a 10” celestion speaker which produces the famous jangly, bright tone we know and love from Vox AC amps, the traditional grill and cabinet and also a fantastic built in spring reverb. This particular amp can deliver 10 watts of power, and has on board EQ controls including bass, treble and gain to overdrive the amplifier and produce a great, gritty tone. The Vox AC10 is the ideal option for someone looking to produce vintage tones and is also ideal for gigging as it is very light and portable.
Naser Bolton Store
The AC10 was one of the first amplifiers to bear the VOX name and has long been adored for his ability to achieve rich, articulate tube tone at very manageable volumes. For this reason, the AC10 has become a highly coveted piece of VOX history since it's discontinuation in 1965. Now in 2015, VOX is proud to introduce the AC10C1, a modern take on this classic design. More portable than the AC15 and more powerful than the AC4, the AC10C1 features the classic Top Boost tone circuit that provides an array of classic and modern tones. Now equipped with reverb and a master volume, the AC10C1 is the perfect companion for the home, studio or stage.
