What We Think
This piano is unlike anything I have seen, its design is much like the CLP series and but doesn’t have any of the buttons, it has a function button but do not be fooled by its simplistic interface. If you attach an iphone or ipad to it then it turns it into a CVP, with hundreds of voices, styles and songs. The voices sound amazing and the styles work in a slightly different way as it follows your playing instead of following the chords you play at the bottom of the piano. It also has many songs to learn with a fantastic ‘follow the light’ guide feature which works very well. You can also edit all your settings on this piano in the utilty menu on your ipad which is brilliant! Overall this piano is something of dreams and is a prime example of why digital piano’s are becoming vastly popular and getting closer and closer to the feel and sound of a real acoustic piano

Yamaha Clavinova CSP Series
The reintroduction of CSP Clavinova has been long awaited and completes the trio of Yamaha Clavinova ranges.
CSP stands for Clavinova Smart Piano, and this is apparent in its design. Here is a Digital Piano with only two buttons! The two CSP models sit in-between the long-established CLP (Classic Piano) and CVP (Clavinova Versatile Piano) ranges. Whilst CLP Clavinova will still appeal to the purist piano players, and the CVP will continue be the choice of the player who wants the luxury of everything, CSP is ultimately the perfect piano for all the family.
So, what sets CSP apart from other Digital Pianos? It must be the combination of a fabulous design, dynamic sound system and a unique operating system. The instrument is controlled by Yamaha’s exclusive Smart Pianist app, which works on iOS and Android devices. This app takes away the need for a complicated control panel on the piano, as all the functions of the instrument are shown graphically and logically on a tablet or phone.
CSP will make pianists of all abilities smile. Advanced players will love the feel and response from the keyboard on both models.
