The Yamaha DGX660 is perfect for everyone, it has graded hammer standard action, it introduces features that are on some of the flagship Clavinova models, like the piano room and style recommender, an absolute bargain for a piano in that price range. You can get a 3 pedal unit separate to the piano which when attached will give you the sostenuto, damper and sustain pedals. This is fantastic as it will then take you all the way through your graded exams. What more could you ask for? It also has a midi output, so you can use it as a midi piano on various software’s such as: Pro Tools, Logic and Cubase. For people looking for a digital piano that gives you extra wow factors at a specific price point, the DGX660 certainly ticks every box for me.

Review Summary - 5 out of 5 based on 1 rating.

I love this digital piano. The weighted keys remind me of my old piano and it is a pleasure to play, and the sound is beautiful. An added advantage over traditional pianos is there is no need to have any tuning done. So far, I haven't really felt the need to have anything alternative to the piano sound, but it is an added bonus to know these extras are there for hardly any extra cost over the straight Yamaha Digital Piano. The music score holder is generous too. Having the full 88 keys, I think it is extremely good value for money. I will buy my granddaughter one for her 18th birthday, because she loves playing it too! I was going to give her my old 76 key Roland keyboard, but this is much better for the piano replacement that, given her already good skills, she deserves one of these instead. The Roland keyboard is very good, but if you want something to replace a traditional piano, this would take some beating for the price.
