What We Think
This stage piano is brilliant, it has 10 premium quality voices that sound fantastic, it has a dual, layer and duo playing modes which are great if you want to put say piano and strings over each other. It has 88 weighted keys which means that it feels like a real acoustic piano. I would recommend this piano to anyone who is looking for a portable full scale piano.
I think the P45 straight away offers superb value for money, giving a great sounding piano with excellent playability and touch with the GHS (graded hammer standard) action in the piano. It’s compact size really makes it very portable if you need to take it to a rehearsal or a gig. As well as the great piano sound it has 9 other equally great quality voices, from electric pianos & organs, through to harpsichord and vibes. The piano is simple to use, not having lots of buttons on the front panel. It has a built in metronome feature to help with practising and a headphone socket. The piano comes with a sustain pedal to further enhance the pleasure of playing what I think is a great model of digital piano, whether it be for a beginner wanting 88 weighted keys or an established player looking for a more portable great sounding piano.

Yamaha P45 Digital Piano
The Yamaha P45 features a Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard, this popular key bed creates an authentic and natural feel when played. The GHS acts like the key bed of an acoustic piano that feels heavier when playing bass parts and lighter when playing treble parts.
Settings on the P-45 are easily navigated and can be changed with a single button. Simply hold down the GRAND PIANO/FUNCTION button and press selected keys to change voices, play demo sources, configure the metronome etc. This easy to use navigational device makes the P45 the ideal choice for pianists who want to change quickly and smoothly between voices without having to trawl through banks of information.
