Essex pianos are part of the Steinway & Sons family of pianos, giving you the playing experience and construction similar to that of a Steinway & Sons piano but at an entry level price point. This Essex EUP123 is a lovely size piano, standing at 123cm tall, allowing it to fit into any home nicely. This piano has a very nice bright crisp tone with a lovely balance between bass & treble, the key feel is set-up to suit any level of player. The piano has been tuned & checked by our very own piano tuner technician, so will be in tune ready to play and enjoy upon delivery. Delivery is included to a ground floor location, anywhere in UK mainland. As an ex-lease piano the piano does have some slight surface polishing scratches, but overall it looks good! The inner workings of the piano are very good. This is an opportunity to purchase an Essex EUP-123 for a fantastic price. I think this piano is excellent value for money. Soundboard/Backposts Steinway patented the diaphragmatic soundboard, which is thicker in the middle and gently tapered to the edges. The Essex soundboard is tapered from bass to treble resulting in a stronger, richer, fuller tone. Essex backposts are massive — providing a solid foundation for the resonating soundboard and tensioned vibrating strings, thus helping create a beautiful tone. Essex backpost locations are staggered — located where the string tension is greatest, instead of neatly equidistant. Massive staggered backposts help provide superb tone and maximum stability, ensuring the piano will last, tunings will be more stable, and piano tone will be enhanced for the years and decades to come.
String Scale Steinway , gives a fuller, richer, warmer tone by allowing more of the lower partials to sing. It also has more sustain, is more powerful, has more dynamic range, and provides warmer and more mellow tones.
