Kawai CA-401 Digital Piano Rosewood
This is the brand new replacement for the Kawai CA49 and it certainly raises the bar when it comes to features. There is a brand new Shiguru SK-EX Competition Grand Piano Sound, Bluetooth Audio Connectivity (great for streaming your music), and improved control panel and cabinet design and even a redesigned AC adapter which helps to gain a clearer sound by minimising noise. The fantastic (and wooden) Grand Feel Compact Key Action really gives you the sensation that you're playing a grand piano and with 192 notes of polyphony at your disposal you won't experience any note drop off either. Kawai really have outdone themselves here!

Kawai CA-401 Digital Piano Rosewood
This updated 2023 model retains the highly-regarded Grand Feel Compact wooden-key keyboard action of its predecessor, while incorporating the new SK-EX Competition Grand piano sound, reproduced using Progressive Harmonic Imaging sound technology. This latest recreation of the flagship Shigeru Kawai piano uses all new sample data, specifically recorded from the player’s perspective, and is characterised by a bright and clear sound with a distinctive attack. Complementing this stunning new pianosound, the CA401 also utilises an improved AC power adapter, which helps to ensure a smoother, clearer sound through both speakers and headphones compared to previous generation models.
In addition to Bluetooth MIDI, the CA401 now also includes Bluetooth Audio connectivity, allowing audio from smart devices to be played through the instrument’s speakers wirelessly. Both Bluetooth components adopt the latest v5 standard, providing ultra-low latency, improved reliability, and superior sound quality when paired with the latest devices. The updated CA401 also features redesigned control panels with a more intuitive button layout to complement the existing 2.5" OLED display.
Finally, the CA401’s attractive cabinet has also received design refinements, with improved pedal positioning and music score support pins, which can be raised to hold the pages of thicker notated scores securely in place.
