A Versatile Digital Piano for Home Use
A Full-Size Weighted Keyboard
The 88-note Graded Hammer keyboard provides a full piano range with weighted keys designed to offer a more authentic playing experience than a basic unweighted keyboard.
This makes the CVP-401 suitable for beginners developing their technique, as well as more experienced players who want a comfortable keyboard for everyday playing.
Yamaha Piano Sounds and Other Instruments
Yamaha's AWM Stereo Sampling provides the piano sounds at the heart of the instrument. Beyond the piano, the CVP-401 includes a broad selection of voices, allowing you to experiment with electric pianos, organs, strings and other instruments.
This versatility is particularly useful for players who enjoy different musical styles or want to arrange and perform pieces using more than one sound.
Automatic Accompaniment and Rhythm Styles
One of the biggest attractions of the CVP range is its automatic accompaniment.
Choose a musical style, play the appropriate chords and let the piano generate a backing arrangement to accompany your performance. The CVP-401 offers 191 accompaniment styles, including pop, jazz, country and other musical genres.
This is an enjoyable feature for playing for pleasure, practising timing and harmony, or developing arrangements at home.
Built-In Speakers and Three Pedals
The integrated 20 W + 20 W amplification system and two 16 cm speakers mean that you can enjoy playing without needing to connect a separate amplifier.
The three pedals provide familiar piano-style control, including sustain, helping you shape the sound as you play.
Recording, Connectivity and Practice Features
The CVP-401 includes 16-track song recording, registration memory, a metronome and a range of effects. USB and MIDI connections also provide options for working with compatible computers and other music equipment.
Its headphone connections make quieter practice possible, making it a practical choice for a family home.
