Each note becomes a moment to savour, turning the ordinary into something quietly extraordinary. Whether you’re discovering the piano for the first time or returning to the keys, Yamaha B Series pianos bring joy and emotional depth to every note, every day, turning music into moments that stay with you .From your very first encounter, and as you continue to grow with it, a B Series piano will enrich your daily life for many years to come. Yamaha have created an instrument with a pure, clearly articulated sound and a natural, expansive resonance which captivates and inspires, making you want to play even more. And as the natural materials of your piano mature, they develop a character that feels ever more familiar as the piano becomes uniquely yours. In order to ensure lasting quality, Yamaha is firmly committed to overseeing every stage of the piano's development in-house - from initial design to final production. Each and every component, including the soundboard, frame, and action, is crafted by Yamaha to ensure uncompromising quality.
Clear tone and rich resonance for a premium playing experience
Yamaha has developed special hammers for the new B Series that take advantage of the excellent elasticity of felt, reflecting knowledge gained from the development of the CFX Concert Grand Piano. They produce a focused, resonant tone that brings out melodies across the entire range. In addition, a redesigned soundboard (the source of the piano’s resonance) achieves a remarkably clear, spacious sound even in a compact size which is ideal for home use. Improved Hammers provide pure, stable sound with resonant sustain The hammers, which strike the strings to produce sound, play a crucial role in shaping the piano’s timbre. To achieve a clear, pure tone, the B Series employs a special method in processing the raw felt used in the hammers – a technique derived from our flagship CFX Concert Grand Piano. This process takes full advantage of the inherent superior elasticity of the felt, resulting in a sound that is remarkably clear, richly resonant, and sustained. Every melody and phrase, across all registers, emerges with vivid presence and expression

In addition, a redesigned soundboard (the source of the piano’s resonance) achieves a remarkably clear, spacious sound even in a compact size which is ideal for home use.
The soundboard features a curved structure known as a crown, where even slight variations in shape can affect the tone. To protect this delicate structure from the strong tension of the strings and maintain optimal resonance, all models are equipped with five back posts. In the B10 and B20 models, the increased height expands the soundboard area, delivering a wider dynamic range and richer, more expansive sound. Longer bass strings also improve pitch stability and create a beautifully balanced sound with a rich bass.
Designed for immersive playing and a lineup suited to diverse lifestyles
Extending the full length of the fall-board, the wide music stand makes it easy to place multiple scores, or even long, unfolding sheets, without the need to turn pages. The top surface is deep and finished with non-slip fine artificial leather, providing stability even for thick music scores, and allowing for full focus on the performance. In addition, a built-in soft-close mechanism ensures fall-board closes gently for added safety.
In-house design and manufacturing ensure long-lasting, reliable quality
All stages, from parts production to final assembly, are carried out in-house under strict quality control. For example, to ensure each piano can be enjoyed for years to come, careful attention is given from the earliest stages to the drying of the wood used throughout the instrument. Backed by over 100 years of piano-making expertise and a scientific approach, Yamaha employs strict wood-drying standards to help minimize the effects of wood aging while enhancing resonance. In addition, all action components are machined with high precision and carefully assembled by skilled technicians, ensuring a smooth and consistent feel that players can enjoy for a long time.
