Many people dream of owning a grand piano, for a few different reasons! Let alone to play it. And of course, the question I have been asked many times! Which one, what make, and how much do I need to spend to get a good one? This may or may not be a factor for some people, as the first thing you will fall in love with, is the sound off the piano! So in a blind test, the brand may not be a factor. But if you pay (dare I say!) Fiat car price to a Mercedes car price, There will be a difference! But in all reality that will be a sound and feel difference and again probably not branding? You need to play and experience a piano, for at least an hour or two! To see what that instrument gives to you as a player in both sound colour, quality of touch and feel of the action, control of the sound of the piano and how long you feel you Want to play the piano, how it draws you in! If you don’t play, do try to take someone along who plays or get a good demonstration in store from a salesperson who plays. This could be a long journey to find the right piano for you, but an enjoyable journey. Try out a couple of models at least, firstly to get a feel of sounds of pianos, and what you may be looking for. Believe you me; you will know when you find the right one for you! You will subconsciously have a sound in your head, and a piano along the way will tick that box for you when it comes along!!
